SALIM KALA
Salim founded Kala Atkinson in the late 80’s offering small business accountancy services to a wide range of clients. His clients now range from uber drivers to businesses with turnover in the millions.

When he’s not advising his clients, Salim is growing his property portfolio and starting other businesses using his wealth of experience.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
COLLEEN ATKINSON
Colleen retired from her longstanding managerial role in the NHS in 2018. She has joined Kala Atkinson as our business development manager.

Her experience in the NHS helps us better understand our many GP clients but more importantly provides invaluable insights into organisation and client care.

NADIM KALA
Nadim is a qualified accountant with over a decade of experience in boutique tax firms in central London. He has gained a wealth of experience working on a wide range of clients under experienced managers and partners from across London.

Outside of accountancy Nadim is a keen sportsman with a particular interest in football.

Riaz qualified as an accountant at Kala Atkinson before going on to work in the Big 4 and a top 20 accounting firm.

Working with household names, start ups and established businesses along the way Riaz has developed experience in developing businesses not just with financial and business advice but also that of process improvement and technology.

CHLOE
I’m a Personal Tax Manager with extensive experience supporting individuals and families in managing their tax affairs efficiently and with confidence. Known for a practical, people-first approach, I enjoy building strong client relationships and simplifying complex tax matters.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mother of three, a dedicated Formula 1 fan, and I find balance by escaping to the Lake District whenever I can.
Sole traders and Accounts Wigan
CAROL
With over 30 years of experience, I work in the accountancy department specialising in preparing accounts for sole traders and producing financial accounts for a wide range of clients. I bring a detailed, reliable approach to every aspect of my work.

I'm also an active member of Rotary and a trustee of a local community centre, where I enjoy supporting community-focused initiatives. In my spare time, I love visiting beaches and swimming—it’s my favourite way to relax and recharge.

I work in the VAT department, where I support clients with accurate and efficient VAT reporting, compliance, and advice. I enjoy the challenge of navigating complex regulations and helping businesses stay on top of their obligations.

Outside of work, I love socialising with friends, travelling to new places, and staying active by going to the gym. These things keep me balanced and energised, both personally and professionally.

With over 8 years of experience in the VAT department, I’ve built a strong foundation in tax compliance, analysis, and client support. I’m passionate about the details that keep everything running smoothly and take pride in helping others navigate the complexities of VAT.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mum to three energetic boys who keep life exciting and full of laughter. I enjoy winding down with a good book and love spending quality time with my family and friends—it’s those moments that matter most.
